I have turned them on under settings discussion. And I haven’t turned them off in individual posts. I also don’t have the box checked for only allowing comments for a certain period of time.
This is for X theme with the integrity stack.

Hi There,
Thanks for writing in! To assist you with this issue, we’ll first need you to provide us with your URL. This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Please check if the comments are enabled in the single posts. You can see this option in Screen Options > Discussion
If these options are already enabled, please provide us with the admin and FTP details in a Secure Note of your site so that we could check this further.
I don’t have those options on my posts. Is it because I am using a child theme?
Hi There,
It couldn’t be the child theme.
Could you please provide us with your admin account(via Secure Note button) so we can take a closer look?
Thanks.
Ok I will do that here in a secure note
Hi There,
Thank you for the credentials. I can see you have enabled Facebook Comments Addon. Since that is enabled, it will handle post comments now. Comments is not showing because of errors.
fbevents.js:24 Facebook Pixel Error: Error: [ID:1670617756560952] An invalid email address was specified for 'em'. This data will not be sent with any events for this Pixel.
Please fix that error first and check again after.
I want to use normal comments. Facebook comments are not enabled. I deactivated the plugin so there is no confusion.
Hi There,
Please remove the custom code for the comments from the functions.php file.
Let us know how it goes!
That seems to have fixed it. Is it normal that the comments go to the login page for wordpress? Is there a way to leave a comment on the page?
For example, here: https://jordanarsenault.com/projects/food-project-eating-clean/ you have to click login and go to another page rather than fill out the info on that page.
Hey @looktothesouth,
Thanks for writing in! I just went to your webpage and was able to add a test post anonymously without needing to login. If you’re wanting to tweak how users interact with your website, I would recommend going to Settings → Discussion in the WordPress admin and having a look through how things are configured on your end and see if they’re to your liking. There you can specify things like:
Hopefully that helps to point you in the right direction, cheers!
Ok great, thanks for the help!
You’re welcome!
