Comment form and comments not appearing on created layout

hello i created a single post layout and added comments, and comment form but they are not appearing.

can you help me understand why?

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your post type setting and found that the comment option is not enabled for the specific post type. I would suggest you enable it and check if that works for you.

Hello @xponent21,

It seems that you have not enabled the post “Discussion” options from the post settings. To enable the post “Discussion” please follow these steps.

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard
2. Go to the Posts or your custom post type
3. Now you need to click on the Edit button.

4. Now you need to click on the settings button —>Discussion—>Click Allow Comment Checkbox
