Colums are shown among themselves not beneath

Hey There,

I have a problem one of my sites.

Colums in a Row are shown among themselves not beneath. (They are shown beneath until I log out of wordpress, than they are shown among themselves.

  • By creating a new Section - same Problem
  • I also tried to deactivate the Short Code Generator (like it was told in a another Thread) - No Result
  • Wordpress, X Theme and all PlugIns are freshly updated and have the actual Version

I make all of my Websites with X Theme - but this is the only site with this kind of problem.

Whats the problem there?

Thanks for your help.

Greetings
Andy

Hi Andy,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked your site and the columns are displaying fine. When you select for example 2 columns layout in a Row the columns are displayed side by side by default and not beneath.

However you can mange Layout settings by inspecting the Row that contains the columns, you can learn more about Row element and it’s settings here https://theme.co/docs/row

Hope this helps!

Hey Nabeel,

thanks for your answer.

Well the Columns created months ago work still fine.

A new Section is the “Counter Section - on wooden background”.

I attached 1 Screenshot of Backend incl. Layout-Settings.

My Layout-Settings says 5x20% Columns on Desktop, Laptop and Tablet.

The Frontend was on Safari, but same problem on chrome and firefox as well.

Thanks for your help and stay healthy
Andy

Hey Andy,

The theme’s CSS is not updated most probably due to your optimization plugin. Please clear all caches then temporarily deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. Please then clear your browser’s cache and check if the issue persists.Always do this every time you change something in your site.

It’s also one of the troubleshooting steps listed here: https://theme.co/docs/common-issues. Always perform the basic troubleshooting steps to narrow down the issue and we could say the issue is with the theme and not by outside factors.

Thanks.

Hey Christian,

thanks for quick reply.

Well you were absolutely right - the caching plugin was the reason…

In regular I always clear the cache after working on a page…
I had to deactivate the plugin and activate it again… Now it works.

Not sure if the cache didnt really clear or if I just was stupid today…

Well - thanks anyways.

Have a nice day and stay healthy
Andy

Hey Andy,

Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site. If your site is still under development then always make sure to clear caches after making any change.

Also after doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Cheers!
