Columns without any spanning

hi,
how can I build a row with more columns WITHOUT spanning between them?
I want use a background image in any columns to see them attached but I’m not able to do.
Can you help me, pls?

Please kindly go to the Row option of a section which contains the columns:

And enable the Marginless options and disable the Inner Container:
