And sometimes it looks like this: With every saved/preset colour
Is the colour picker supposed to work like that or is this a bug? I find the preset colours really useful, so it’d be nice if they’re available everywhere.

Sorry you’re having this issue, I can confirm this issue on my end. The Color template is not applicable on border, text-shadow, and box-shadow. This seems to be a bug, let me report this to our Dev Team. For now please choose your color on the picker manually for those said settings.
