Code Comment not displaying in source code

When a comment is entered on the “text” tab of the edit-page it changes format. I need the comment to display the same in the source code. Does anyone know how to enter a comment into the page content without it changing format?

Example -
Entered: <!‐‐ Comment ‐‐>
Source code shows: &lt;!‐‐ Comment ‐‐&gt;

Need it to display as <!‐‐ Comment ‐‐> in source code.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Instead of using the text element, you can make use of the “Classic Code Snippet” element and insert the code including your comments.

You may also use the code snippet shortcode. Please check out this demo:
