Cloudways Being Rubbish

Hi folks, I moved my website at rabble.ie to Cloudways about two years ago - I did so on the back of what people in the ThemeX community were saying about how well they worked for ThemeX with Vultr.

Literally every time we try and put a blog post on the site, the website goes down with a server error. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I am constantly on to the chat about it and they always fob me off and say it was fixed. Prior to this I fixed the issue by cloning the server and moving to that clone. They then admitted that the problem was due to issues on neighbouring servers on the node I was on.

Has anyone else faced this problem? It is a pain in the backside and given who ThemeCo have some sort of relationship with them, I am massively disappointed to be facing this every time I try and do a simple blog update.

Thoughts?

Hi @rabbler I’m from Cloudways.

Sorry for the inconvenience occurred. I haven’t heard such issues in the past; this might be the rare one. May I have your email address and the ticket number (if you’ve created any) so that I can get more details and make sure, it would not happen again to you or anyone else.

Would appreciate your cooperation. Thanks!

HI thanks for coming back. Its being going on a very very long time so if you check my supports you’ll find lots and lots of tickets on it.

The site is a basic themex set up and we really do not have the traffic to be creating the problems that persist.

I use Cloudways with professional contracts on other email accounts and have not experienced this issue so would dearly love it to be solved for once and all.

All we are doing is updating blog posts.

Maybe its just me but this has not progressed?

…and nothing?

This issue is recurring again. I am starting to think that Cloudways is not the place for me to bring business to anymore.

Hi @rabbler

Apologies for the inconvenience occurred. Have you tried contacting the support team this time? If yes, please send the ticket number via email at mustaasam.saleem@cloudways.com or Fb.com/MustaasamSaleem
Most of the time notifications are missed out, just like it happened earlier.
What I think at the moment, you need to increase the PHP execution limit. Anyhow, let me dig it further at my end.

We had it on a 2gb server before and the problem still happened. I cloned and moved to a 1gb before and it resolved the problem. For a while. Was told the issue was with something on the server I was on and not my end. I feel the exact same problem is replicating now. I’ll take your advice here and scale and see if there is a difference.

I do genuinely appreciate the response. I’m always raising it on chat but it feels like a bit of a loop of me explaining myself.

@rabbler

I do understand the frustration, sorry about that.

Have created another ticket, may I have the ticket number please?
