Closed "alert" is still there when page is refreshed

Hi
I’ve added an alert to a page. It has a close button so users can close it. But each time the page is refreshed/revisited, the alert is there again.
Is there a way to make the alert so that it doesn’t come back after the close button has been clicked? (Or at least doesn’t come back unless the user clears their cookies.)

We can accomplish it using cookies, but to do it, you`ll need to share with us your WP credentials and the website link in the private content.
