Close icon on "Content Dock" showing as grey when set to yellow

The problem i’m having with my content dock, is the “X” to close the content dock is grey when the “Close Button” is set to yellow…

.x-close-content-dock

To trigger the content dock, go to the URL below and scroll half way down the page until it appears.

Do you know how I can make this the color I specify in the content dock options and not have it appear grey?

Since posting this, I had tried this: https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/content-dock-close-button-color/

Still does not work… i’ll put my code below.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

The close icon is an image, and your code is correct, but it’s executed even before the content dock loads. Please change your code to this

var x_interval = setInterval ( function() {

var close_x = 'https://www.xabcdtrading.com/wp-content/uploads/x.png';

var close_icon = jQuery( '.x-close-content-dock img.emoji' );

if ( close_icon.attr("src") !== close_x ) {

close_icon.attr("src", close_x );

clearInterval( x_interval );

console.log('changed');

}

}, 500 );

Hope this helps.

Hi, @fxground,

This error was reported as Wordpress behavior affecting Content Dock. Will be addressed in the next release of the extension.

As temporary solution, you can refer to this post: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/content-dock-issues/4764/9

Thanks!

Hello @rafaelgou,

This is still not working:

.tco-content-dock {
border: none;
}
a.tco-close-content-dock span[data-content]::before {
content: attr(data-content);
}

The “X” color is still not being changed based off the settings in the convert plug. Any other ideas?

Thanks

Hi there,

The suggestion from that thread is not implemented, the content dock is still displaying the image <img draggable="false" class="emoji" alt="✖" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.3/svg/2716.svg"> instead of icon <span data-content="&#x2716;"></span>. Please make sure it’s implemented.

And what’s the version of your content dock? I don’t see 2716.svg anymore on my copy, instead, it’s displaying <span>&#x2716;</span> in my source code. Your copy could be different.

Thanks!

Hi, there,

Please update the extension as this error has been fixed in this release (2.0.3).

After that, feel free to post here if the error still occurs.

Thanks!
