Classic WP Builder w/ elements gone?

Theme: XVersion: 6.3.8 / Wordpress: WordPress 4.9.8 / Chrome / https://www.bell.de/

I have not used the backend editor (WPBuilder?) for quite a while. Page had been set up and worked fine. Made some new blogposts in the classic editor every now and then.

All of a sudden containers/background images seemed to be missing on most pages. When I went to “edit page” there was no backend builder any more (containers, text, all the different elements), just very limited options (see screenshot).

I hope it’s not too confusing: Where can I edit pages, add containers, bands, galleries, text etc like say two years ago? I’m desperate, plz help.

Hi Christian,

Please go to WPBakery Page Builder Settings > General and make sure “Legacy X Integration” is enabled. A common request we get is to not overwrite parts of the WPBakery Page Builder. We are committed to keep supporting sites from the early days of X where Visual Composer was our page builder but we’ve consolidated all that integration code under one setting. It used to be enabled by default, but you will now need to opt-in to using it.

If the issue persists, please double check that you have have updated X to the latest version. Also, remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors or any unexpected display issue on the site.

In case the issue persists, please provide us with the admin access to your site in a Secure Note (key icon under the replies you post/posted):

Let us know how it goes.

It’s back. Thx so much. So should I rebuild these pages from scratch in the new editor, when I have time/ressources? Would you recommend that?

Hi Christian,

Personally, yes. You might want to check Cornerstone and have your pages built using it as it is a lot easier and has a lot of features that you can utilize in page building.

Thanks!
