I’m using the Classic Recent Posts element on my homepage.I would also like to display selected posts of my choice, in the same format.
Can I edit the Classic Recent Posts element to display posts of my choice on my homepage?

Hi there,
What you can do is add a category in the post and set the post that you want to be displayed in the recent post element in that category.
Then in the recent post element, there is a category field, place the category ID of the of the category that you have created and assigned the posts to in there.
Hope this helps.
Thanks! I know this is outside your scope but I can’t find the category ID… it doesn’t appear when I hover over the category… I can’t find any answers online… would appreciate any advice if possible, thanks
I also tried this: “If for some reason you are unable to see such URL, simply move the mouse cursor over the WordPress Category name and copy the link by right clicking it and selecting ‘Copy Link Location’ or ‘Copy Link Address’ from the right click menu and paste the URL to a text editor such as notepad”
But there’s not “Copy Link Location” or “Copy Link Address” when I right click
Hi there, For the category as mentioned in this article you need to use the slug in the category:
http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/
To find the slug go to Posts > Categories and in the listing of the categories see what is the category in question and copy the slug of it:
Use that in the Recent Posts element in the Category section.
Thank you.
That works, thanks so much!
You’re most welcome.
