Check both the pages mentioned below.
The problem is that the “Classic recent posts element” is not functioning as it used to. Previously the recent posts showcased like how they are now at the bottom of the second link, but if you see the homepage, which is the first link, the images do not appear, but the overlay appears. Could you fix this please.
FYI, this problem has started once I updated cornerstone today.

Thanks for writing in! I see that you’re using a caching plugin. Could you please try clearing your site cache and then disable any CSS and Javascript minifications enabled on your cache settings.
Also head over to X -> Settings page and hit the clear style cache button, then clear your browser cache as well and test your site again.

Just came on to the Apex forums with the same question / issue going on. As you suggested above, cleared caches through WPEngine, and then went to the X Theme Settings page and cleared the style cache as well. Unfortunately the issue is persisting with the Classic Recent Posts element. The featured images are hidden behind the colored block, and show through slightly when pointed at. This issue occurred with the most recent X update. To see the issue (like the initial poster’s) you can look at
Scroll down to “Campground Blogs” and you’ll see the featured images are hidden too.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This issue is fixed in Cornerstone 3.1.3 and Pro 2.1.3, please update your cornerstone and theme and test it again.
@gadgetat I can confirm that your theme and cornerstone is not yet updated to those versions.
