Classic Embed Video not working

Hi my classic embedded video elements seam to no longer be working. You can see on this page further down: https://hybridpharm.com/2019/06/pharma-seed-5-omega-3s/

I have checked the page and the video is displaying on my end.

Did you experience the issue after you have updated the theme? After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

I see them as well but i am not able to play either. Are you?

I have cleared all caches etc and experience the same thing on multiple devices / browsers as well.

Yes, I can play and pause the videos. Just do not click the pay button of youtube.
Use the video controls instead.

hmmm… is there no way to allow the video to play when you click anywhere like it used to? It isn’t very obvious for people to click the small play button when there is a giant one in the middle.

Hey @reform,

Sorry for the confusion and the back and forth. Your setup is not correct. You’re using the Classic Embedded Video but the Classic Video Player which is only for self-hosted videos.

Your setup probably looks like the screenshot below where you inserted the Youtube watch URL in the Video SRC URL

Please delete the Classic Video Player element and replace it with a Classic Embedded Video. Then, grab the Youtube Embed Code embed code and paste it in the Embed Code box.

In case you don’t know where to get the Embed Code, it’s in the Share modal that will popup when you click the Share button in Youtube.
