Classic Container Workaround

Because most of my sites are using containers, I have to use the layout workaround to edit and update. It is time consuming and not very user friendly. If my understanding is correct and I don’t want to continue editing in this workaround way, I will essentially have to rebuild these sites by manually converting every classic container. I built at least half of the 20 websites I maintain for clients when classic containers were the only option!

Is there an improvement being worked on to globally migrate all classic (v1) containers/elements to become compatible with drag and drop functionality?

Hey @GailRob01,

Thanks for the feedback. Our developers will be putting back the drag and drop for the Classic Elements for the time being. A patch update shall be released anytime soon. If your pages are using the Classic elements, we highly encourage you to recreate the pages using the new elements because sooner or later, they will have issues not being able to keep up with WordPress updates. These classic elements will be deprecated and most likely no longer be supported over the course of time.
