Classic Carousel element not editable as Global Block

Hello, I’m having issues with the classic element Carousel.
I have used the Carousel to have a dynamic element that switches between our business partners.
I have set it up as global block, because I use the element on two pages. Now, I recently updated the x theme and cornerstone to the latest version, and can no longer edit the global block. I can’t say for sure if this has started with the update from yesterday or if it has been the case for longer.

When I launch the global blocks section and click on the block in question, it is previewed as intended, the Carousel element is shown. However, when I enter edit mode, the carousel element is not displayed and the respective column where it is located has no height, which prevents me from clicking on the element within.
In short: The global block is displayed as intended on the website (cf. http://qbdc.ch/about/#partner), but I am now unable to modify it.

Is there a way to fix this?
Is this an issue due to the classic element being no longer supported? Is there an alternative with a different name that I am unaware of?

Kind regards,
Dani

Hi @AmstD1,

Thanks for reaching out.

Your Carousel element is coming from Cornerstone Powepack plugin in which we didn’t develop. I recommend contacting the plugin author for this issue, and it may be outdated and needs integration on our builder’s latest version.

Thanks!

Ah that’s unfortunate.
Thank you, I will contact the developer.

Is there any chance that there will be a carousel implementation to regular cornerstone? Or can I make a request somewhere?

Hi @AmstD1

Thanks for your feedback, I’ll add your vote regarding this feature request on a similar ticket we have on our system, at the moment I don’t know whether this is going to be included in one of the upcoming releases or not since there are alternatives (Revolution Slider has its own Carousel slider, check this tutorial), our dev team is working hard to set the priorities to fix bugs and introduce new features according to the roadmap.

Thanks.

Alright, I got a reply from the developer of the Powerpack plugin…

I am sorry to say but we are doing to be depreciating support for the PowerPack plugin.

This means, they are unwilling to deal with the issue I was experiencing. Which is rather unfortunate, since I relied on some of their cornerstone elements…

But thank you @Alaa for the tip with the revolution slider. This is not exactly the same, but it will work.

You’re welcome. Glad we were able to provide an alternative for you.
