Classic accordion not opening

Hi guys,

I have seen previous posts on this and the solution was to flush and disable cache related plugins. tried this and it doesn’t work.

I cannot open the accordion on the edit post page, or on the post preview. Happy to give someone login details if they would like to take a look, but the article is not yet live so I can’t send a link.

For what it’s worth, I have live posts that use classic accordion and they all seem to be functioning just fine. I have also tried replacing with a new accordion which doesn’t work either.

Hello There,

Thanks for posting in! It appears that you are using WP Rocket plugin. Please clear your plugin cache and the login to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache as well. For best results, please make sure that you are using the recommend CloudFlare settings which you can find it here: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/

Hope this helps.

Hi @RueNel,

Thanks for the reply. I’m almost 100% sure (famous last words! haha) that this isn’t a cache issue. I have completely turned off wp-rocket and put cloudflare in dev mode and there is no change. (Cleared my own browser cache too.)

I also cannot open an accordion on this particular post when on the editor screen. As stated previously, I have live posts with the same type of accordion and they open just fine on both the live site, and in editor mode.

Thanks.

Hi There,

Would you mind completely turning off all the caches and providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

  • Link login to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks.

I have just tried disabling all the cache related plugins again, and this time it worked.

Not sure what the difference was this time, but I have switched everything back on (with no changes to settings) and everything is still good. Hopefully it stays this way!

Thanks for the advice.

Hi again,

That could be the browser’s cache, always make sure to clear all caches including the browser’s cache. We’re glad all is working now.

Cheers!
