Child theme with custom "shape dividers"

Hello, I wrote in earlier about the desire to add some custom dividers (section dividers) to cornerstone… and I found what I want… (http://demos.artbees.net/jupiter5/shortcodes/shape-divider/).
But what I want to know is can this feature be added into the Cornerstone editor… perhaps by adding some custom css or ???

P.S. any direction on the best way(s) to incorporate new code to Cornerstone is greatly appreciated…

Hi There,

Cornerstone does have section dividers already, please click on your section and you will see the options for top and bottom dividers.

Thanks, I saw that… but I’d like to know how to add new ones or edit existing ones… can that be done ?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

yes, thank you for this direction… I am wonder as the theme authors if you have a suggestion as to how to best code these customizations and maintain forward compatibility of theme & cornerstone updates… So I guess I’m looking for a consult on how best to proceed with a developer to make these customizations.

Please always utilize the child theme for customizing themes and adding functionalities on a plugin. Child theme is safe from all updates.
