Child Theme Setup

Hi

We have several websites running Theme X using the Child Theme functionality. We have always been using the following line to inherit styles from the main theme:

add_filter( ‘x_enqueue_parent_stylesheet’, ‘__return_true’ );

At most websites we are running Visual Form Builder Pro as well, and so far it has worked great together with Theme X.

However - we are getting issues with this combo. The form is supposed to show errors like this https://cl.ly/0b1r0o1z1x0t but if i use the x_enqueue function, then I only get the markers around the form fields and NOT the error text itself https://cl.ly/3P2n1W1o3K02.

I realised, that this can also be VFB Pro related, but actually… it’s the combo that messes up.

Suggestions?

Hi there @mediegruppen,

Thanks for writing in!

add_filter( 'x_enqueue_parent_stylesheet', '__return_true' ); is the correct way so this should be working.

As you’ve said you’ve used this combination before with VFB Pro and and the child theme, is this issue now only happening on a specific site or all your X based sites using VFB Pro? Do you have a link to the page in question?

Thanks!

Hi

You can have a look here https://www.autocentralen.com/formtest but this seems to be an issue in general as I see this on other Theme X managed pages as well :confused:

Thanks

Hi There,

The vfb notice is showing up on my end (https://prnt.sc/fviz63), please clarify how we can replicate the issue. And also try clearing your browser’s cache.

Thanks,
