Child Theme error

Good day. I am having an unusual error on a new staging site I am working on. There was no option to upgrade X-Pro from 5.1.1 to 6.1.10, so I renamed the theme on the server to “Old_pro” and then uploaded vers. 6.1.10. When I went to the Worpress Dashboard the Child theme had an error and said the parent theme was missing, even though the Parent theme was clearly there. I activated the Parent theme and the staging site came up just fine.

I removed the Child Theme and uploaded a new copy, but the error message still exists and I cannot activate the child Theme. Any thoughts?

Thanks for writing in!

You are experiencing the issue because you have uploaded the incorrect pro.zip. At the moment, your Pro theme resides at wp-content/themes/pro/pro/. You will have to fix it by removing the other pro folder making it only: wp-content/themes/pro/. You can use a 3rd party File Manager plugin or just access the File manager in your hosting panel.
