Checkout manager validation error message

Hi,
I am using your woocommerce checkout manager plugin.

I have set a field with a validation check.
So far, I had been able to make it work but the error message is displayed only on the very top of the form and reports generically “The value you have entered seems to be wrong. Please check it”

This way, it is useless since there is no clue about what field contains the wrong value.

How can I have:

  • A message under/above the field containing the error
  • The border of the “wrong” field with a red color
  • or a small pop up message on the “wrong” field

Thank you. Kind regards.

Hi @rubius

Actually, what you have asked for is exactly what I see in my localhost installtion, there is a large banner at the top of the page saying:

“Billing Email address is not a valid email address.”

and I got that red field:

So, there must be something wrong on your installation, please make sure you are running the latest stable version of Woo Checkout Editor which is “2.0.1” by now.

If this didn’t help, then please provide us with WordPress Dashboard login details in a “Secure Note” so we can investigate this issue.

Thanks.

Hi @Alaa

  • I have checked replicating your test and I confirm that with the standard Email field the error message returned says “Billing Email address is not a valid email address”
  • I then created a new checkout field
  • set “Email” in “Validation settings” for this new checkout field
  • when I test it with a not valid address, the error message returned is a generic “The value you have entered seems to be wrong. Please check it”

Could you try replicating the test creating a new checkout field?

Thank you.

Hey @rubius,

I tested but I could not replicate the issue also.

I’m using the latest version of Woo Checkout Editor and WooCommerce.

Are you using the latest version? Also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Also remove all customizations if you have any or switch to the parent theme.

Thanks.
