In the Automatewoo workflow “SmartLoving Engaged Online” I have an action setup to send an email once an order is paid. About half way down in that email, I have variable fields for both billing and shipping information. However the shipping information does not display when the email is generated and I’m not sure why. The variable fields can only be inserted using the fields already available on the right hand side bar in the workflow. The actual fields themselves have their data contained in the Woocommerce checkout form. I contacted Automatewoo who told me the following “The WooCommerce template can only add data that is exists in the database. In this case, the orders are not populating the shipping data in a way that the template can find. It looks like you are using Checkout Manager to collect shipping data at checkout, but as you can see in the order, it is not populating. You may want to reach out to Checkout Manager support to resolve the missing shipping data in the order.” Could you please have a look and see if you can tell me where I’ve gone wrong?
Hey @Parracatholic,
We’re sorry that you’re expecting the data within Woo Checkout Editor to show in third-party party plugin’s email system. Our Woo Checkout Editor extension was designed to work directly with WooCommerce and that relation is what’s included in our product support. We do not offer support for third-party plugin conflicts due to the fact that it is not feasible to take into account the different systems available in the market. But, we’d be happy to offer help to the plugin author to make their plugin compatible with our extension.
With that said, please reach out to the Automatewoo support again and ask for documentation as to how they allow custom WooCommerce checkout fields to display in the email.
Thanks.
Whether you support third party plugins or not the checkout editor is not working correctly. Fields, in particular the shipping fields are not working on the form properly. i.e. If you enter the state in the shipping details it says that you haven’t entered anything, same with the billing section for the state. The country also seems different in both sections i.e. in one section it is selectable and in the there it is not. I’d prefer it were not selectable. Could you please have a look and see what is causing this?
Hello @Parracatholic,
I can confirmed that there is a bug in the latest version of the plugin. This has been reported to our developers already. Our developers are already investigating this issue. For the meantime, please deactivate the CheckOut Manager and use other 3rd party plugin if necessary.
Thank you for your understanding.
