Checkout 30 Second Lag - Solutions?

Hello,

When someone checks out on our website, there’s about a 30-second lag. I temporarily added a pop-up that says not to click anywhere or navigate away from the page, but that’s not going to increase conversions all too much.

Does anyone have any idea why it takes so long to process? Someone had said that it could be the API Call to Authorize.net that’s the delay, and nothing can be done, but when I temporarily added “Cash on Delivery” as a payment method to test that theory out, the same exact delay occurred.

Any ideas on how to reduce that lag by 50-75%?
