Check if and where a font is being used in my site content (header/footer/pages/posts/layouts/elements etc)

As part of trying to reduce site size / load speed I sometimes review fonts I have installed during development (via font manager) of a website, and want to delete those not being used.

Does anyone know a way to quickly/easily check if and where a font in the font manager is actually being used in site content? (Am Using Pro)

ie. I don’t want to delete/remove the font from the site without being sure it is not being used anywhere.
It would also be great to be able to see a list of all header/footer/pages/posts/layouts where a particular font is being used so I can, if wanted, go and change them (use a different font).

Thanks in advance
Simon

Hello Simon,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we do not have that feature as well. There is way you can check that the font is used on which pages or elements. In most cases, each of the elements added to the page has the Text Format option where you can select the font family just like this:

If you have set the default to Inherit, it will just use the font family set in Global Options > Typography.

Best Regards.

Thanks Ruenel,

Obviously as a website developer using only Pro for 20+ sites - I do know how to set / check the fonts on text / heading elements, one by one

So yeah, if you could add a “where font used” that runs across the whole site, all pages, posts, portfolios, layouts, headers footers etc feature to the future development list… and returns a list of URLs to the pages, posts, portfolios, layouts, headers footers etc where the font is used - that would be great.
Perhaps others would also find in useful (in trying to consolidate or reduce the number of fonts used to reduce site load size / increase load speed)?

Thanks
Simon

Hey Simon,

We will forward your feedback to our developers so this can be taken into consideration in future releases of the theme.

Cheers.
