Changing the parent page of another page breaks cornerstone in Pro 5.08

Hi,

I am creating a lot of pages and want to nest them for ease of use. I can create a page fine and edit it in pro/cornerstone page builder. But as soon as I change the parent page I just get a 404 error and in page builder, it says there are no suitable content areas found. Even when all plugins are disabled it still does that. If I remove the parent page and have the page go back to just a root page, then it all works again.

I’ve cleared all cache on the server, disabled all plugins, cleared browser cache and nothing fixes the issue.

Hello Brent,

Thanks for writing in!

After assigning the new parent page, you will go to Cornerstone > Settings > System and hit the “Clear Style Button” first before going back to the page builder.

Hope this makes sense.

Well, I tried that multiple times after clearing my browser cache, server cache, and still no joy. All I get is: “The page you are looking for is no longer here, or never existed in the first place (bummer). You can try searching for what you are looking for using the form below. If that still doesn’t provide the results you are looking for, you can always start over from the home page.”

Tried it in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. (I prefer Firefox for web dev). Tried with existing pages. Nope.
I thought maybe try with a new page. Nope, same results.

I have another site running an older version of pro and it seems to work fine. When I updated it to 5.08 it still worked fine. It’s something with this site I guess.

Hi Brent,

I have checked it in a similar way that my colleague explains and didn’t find any issues after adding the parent page to an existing page. I would suggest you check once by clearing all types of cache and in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

Hope it helps.
Thanks
