Changing meta data date to the last modified date

Hi there,

I used this post to change the date displayed in my posts from the published date to the last modified date https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/display-the-last-updated-date-instead-of-the-original-published-date/

and its working fine.

However, I also want to change the meta data date (that is shown at the front of google results?) from the published date to the last modified date. Is this possible?
Im using renew.

Hi There,

Are you using some sort of SERP/SEO plugin ? as I can see the following on your referenced page.

<meta itemprop="datePublished" content="October 11, 2017">

You need to update them as well, so that Google will pickup the updated date.
