Changing hover text for post carousel in Ethos

Hello need help with remove text on mouse over on my post in X: Ethos.
I find one in the forum but they want me to install child theme as i did, but nothing hapend.

Do i need to remove all the other script in function.php? i try that and it not work.

Can i change it another way? just to put in som script in CSS?

Do you want to remove the View Post text on the blog page?

Please add this custom CSS under X > Theme Options > CSS:

a.entry-thumb .view {
    display: none;
}
