Changing from squarespace to wp

Hello. I plan on buying another X theme for my other business fortknox paintball. I currently have that website on square space, but want to have it on wordpress with x theme. I want to completely redesign my website.

My question is this… would it be best to import this website and then use x theme to start over? Or If I started the redesign on wp with x theme would I lose the seo metatags/descriptions if I don’t transfer the website to wp?

Thanks for writing in! It’s better to start over your project from scratch by installing WordPress, X theme and Cornerstone. To include meta tags and description, you can use Yoast SEO plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/).
