Changing breakpoint sizes

Hi there, is there anyway I can change the default breakpoint widths in cornerstone? I tried adding this in devtools:

[480,767,1024,1366]

But it breaks my site.

The issue I am having is, my site looks great on my 1920px monitor, but then when I check it out on a 1366px monitor, it looks terrible. Im thinking the small laptop should be for tablets, and the larger one be 1366px and up, or 1920 and down…

How do I go about this?

Hi @logoglo,

Thank you for writing in, unfortunately, there is no option to change the breakpoints, it would break a lot of things.

You need to make the XL layout work from 1200px and up, If something broke around 1366px then there must be something wrong with your setup. Please clarify the issue.

Cheers,

Yeah, I thought it wouldnt be an easy task…It would be cool in future releases to have an extra large breakpoint added maybe? I just feel 1200px is quite small, most modern monitors are a lot bigger, or HD, and have larger resolution screens, for example, my work pc is 1920px wide, and I have another at 1366px (the latter is a “small” laptop)

The issue I have is, I design for my screen, and it looks huge and out of proportion on the small laptop, and if I design on the small laptop, its tiny on the bigger one…

I honestly think we would benefit with these:

480 & below
767 & below
1024 & below
1200 & below
1400 & Above

Thanks.

Hey @logoglo,

Thanks for the feedback. We will have it noted. This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.

Thanks!

That would be great, is there anything I need to do to submit a feature request? or with this post is fine?

Hi @logoglo,

We already have added your feedback to our feature request list.

Cheers.
