Change transparency in my picture

Hello,

I am wondering how I can change the opacity on the background like I have here: https://gyazo.com/a28b8a1ef33bfa46dc690c3347d5113a

I want to have a text in the middle of the picture, but I need it to be darker or more brown. I can’t find any function for it.

Have you tried using Revolution Slider banner functionality? Using Revolution Slider you can have banner image after masthead. It will also help you to make all the necessary customization as you have mentioned.
