Change the wedding theme to a woocommerce theme

Hi

What would be the easiest way to preserve the design elements of the wedding theme(https://demo.theme.co/wedding/) by theme.co as well as add on ecommerce features? It would be great if there are already pre-built shopping cart, checkout design pages etc. that I can plug in easily.

Hi @vincox,

Thank you for reaching out to us. You can simply add WooCommerce plugin to your site and this will install the required pages as well. Your design will be preserved. You can also change some WooCommerce settings according to your site design via Theme Options > WooCommerce or other Stack dependent settings via Theme Options > {Stack Name} > Shop Options

Thank you. I managed to do it but there are some issues.

• The shop page has FALSE as page title - https://thegreatballroom.sg/shop/
• how do I display the shopping cart in the menu bar?

Hi @vincox,

The shop title is set to the text false in the Theme Options > Icon > Shop Options, and the navbar option is not checked in Theme Options > WooCommerce. Please check the screenshots describing the settings.

Please note that you may need to write a few styling through CSS, as the wedding demo CSS is not adjusted for WooCommerce pages.

Got it. Thank you for your quick response.

I guess I will need to write my own CSS if I want the shopping cart items to appear when I hover over the cart? or are there JS and CSS that I can copy easily from your other themes?

Hi @vincox,

Glad to help you with this. You can find most of the styling options in the Theme Options that will help, if that is not enough you need to write a few custom CSS code and add into the Theme Options > CSS.
