Change "Read More" Link to Icon

[stefanstrassburger]

Is it possible to change the “Read More” Link to an Icon like this one: [x_icon type=“arrow-circle-right”]?

[jade]

Hi there,

Please add this code in the functions.php of the child theme:

// Excerpt More String
// =============================================================================

if ( ! function_exists( 'x_excerpt_string' ) ) :
  function x_excerpt_string( $more ) {

    $stack = x_get_stack();

    if ( $stack == 'integrity' ) {
      return ' ... <div><a href="' . get_permalink() . '" class="more-link">' . do_shortcode('[x_icon type="arrow-circle-right"]') . '</a></div>';
    } else if ( $stack == 'renew' ) {
      return ' ... <a href="' . get_permalink() . '" class="more-link">' . do_shortcode('[x_icon type="arrow-circle-right"]') . '</a>';
    } else if ( $stack == 'icon' ) {
      return ' ...';
    } else if ( $stack == 'ethos' ) {
      return ' ...';
    }

  }
  add_filter( 'excerpt_more', 'x_excerpt_string' );
endif;

Hope this helps.
