Change Image

hi

Can you tell me what happened to the old legacy way of bringing in an image? There used to be a small button and you could bring in an image that way rather than use an Image Element. I still have need of that way, as I bring in all my images using the following code:

<figure class="center-100"><img class="scaled" src="http://feastthailand.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/[email protected]" alt="" width="1900" height="1425" /><figcaption>Dining Room @ Ob-Oon</figcaption></figure>

I would then just select the part from src= and highlight through to /> and replace the image and change the caption; all done in a few seconds. With this version of CS and X I have upgraded to, this does not appear possible; I put off upgrading for maybe the last almost 12 months. I still wish to use figure and figcaption, so is there any alternative?

Any suggestions gladly accepted?

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in!
If you are talking about the image upload via text element, that option is no more in the editor.
You can still use the Classic Text element or Classic Raw content element to add this code and change the caption and image URL.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Yes, the code still works, I knew that, but as you said, you can no longer just hit the image upload button to drop an image. It now requires copying and pasting the code, then going to Media and checking the url of the image, copying that and overwriting that section in the code and adjusting the size to match the new image. A bit more time consuming when adding 7 or 8 images to each blog.

Hello There,

You will always have to copy and paste the codes if you are using the HTML editor of the Text element. Please be informed that it also offers “Rich Text” editing where in you can simply click the image icon and the media gallery popup will become available to you to easily select an insert that you want to insert. Please check out the image below to show you what I mean.
