Change default font - everywhere

Hi folks,
Today I decided to change my font to a local one, for some extra optimisation and expiry headers non-sense.

So I removed Google Font, and uploaded local one, but now each text defaulted to Select…

Is there any trick I can assign that local font (which is the same by the way, including weight, and name) to all the text? Currently The only way I see this is manually, edit page and each text one by one… But this will takes forever.

Any ideas?

Hi Rafal,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I’d recommend you to use the Font Manager feature so you can update it in one spot in the Font Manager and it will be automatically reflected across your entire website.

You can also upload the Custom Fonts if you want to avoid Google Fonts (see Custom Fonts section here https://theme.co/docs/font-manager#how-to-create-the-fonts)

Hope this helps!

Hi,
You missed my point, I am using Font manager, I added local font through custom fonts, and added into Font manager, but now each font text across entire page has Select… value, not the font I added.

Hi Rafal,

After you uploaded the custom font in the Font Manager, you need to define that font, same as you define a Google font before so that custom font will show on the select dropdown font-family options on elements.

If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,

Hi @friech

I had Google font created via Font Manager called Main Font, this was Roboto with 3x different weights.

I added 1x custom font Roboto with 3x different weights but as a local font and I added it to Font Manager and I called it Main Font - Local.

I then Deleted that first set of Font which had Google font selected but I left it Local one called “Main Font - Local”

But now I have no way to default all the text to this font. Currently text is saying Select…

Unless I go Page by page, text by text and manually adjust font family to Main Font - Local

So I think your comment about “so that custom font will show on the select dropdown font-family options on elements” is crucial step here which I didn’t take, because Font Manager created new sets of Font name for me.

Makes more sense?

Hello Rafal,

The global font settings can be set in X/Pro > Theme Options > Typography > Body and Content. If you have created the pages or posts in Cornerstone or Pro editor, each of those elements has its own font settings as well. The current font is just “Select” because the previous font was already deleted. That is why as soon as you have deleted the custom fonts that you have added in the Font Manager, the font settings of each elements in the page should be updated and select the new font assignment. You will have to do it one by one and manually because there aren’t any settings that will do that automatically.

Hope this helps. Thank you for your understanding.

Ok thanks for your help.

Glad we could help.

Cheers!
