CF7 Yellow Boxes are back

When this first occurred, I left CF7 at an older version. During a recent Wordpress update, my hosting partner somehow uodated CF7 so the yellow boxes are back. I tried this and other previously suggested code:

.wpcf7 form.init .wpcf7-response-output {
display: none;
}

but nothing gets rid of them. ANy idea what changed so that the code doesn’t work?
