Certain pages won't load in editor

Some pages will load in the Cornerstone, but some will not. I read in another thread about there possibly being a conflict with caching plugins so I disabled it. No luck. I tried it in 3 local browsers, in Incognito, and in Browserstack and always get the loading bars on certain pages.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the Data page and found the issue. I have saved the page as a Template and loaded it into a test page named Themeco Data Page and it loads perfectly fine. It seems that some problem happens on that page, I would suggest you follow the same steps for those pages where the problem was found.

Step 1: Save the page as Template.
Step 2: Create a New Page.
Step 3: Click on the Use Template.
Step 4: Click on the specific Section Template that you saved for the specific page.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

I changed the slug to “data” of the new page you added “Themeco Data Page” (and removed it on the old page) and added it to the menu, and now I get another error. So using the technique above, if we want to keep existing URLs, doesn’t work. There are a number of pages with the issue strewn throughout the site. Seems like we should determine the underlying cause.

Hey Matt,

Is it okay if we empty your trash bin?

Because even if you deleted a page, it will still cause a slug conflict if it is still present in the bin. It needs to be totally remove from the database to get rid of the slug conflict.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thank you, you can disregard - for the staging site we are going to just roll back to the prior versions of Cornerstone and X which are running smoothly on production, until there’s confidence that the most recent release is more solid. Clearly, there are currently underlying issues, at least in our setup, that make it not safe to use on production websites.

Hey Matt,

Yes, you can revert your website to the previous version. Then maybe you could try updating your website using a staging area so that you can check if there’s an issue without breaking the live website.

Hope that helps.
