Centering logo in icon stack

Does the icon stack support centering the logo or does some code/css have to be used to do this?

Yes you can make logo center align in Icon Stack too.
Just make the Menu and Logo setting to Stacked. Please follow the attached screenshot.
Lunch X -> Options- > Header -> LOGO AND NAVIGATION
