What do I need to do to center the classic cards and keep them in a tight group? I’ve tried all the usual suspects - margins, padding, containers, marginless columns, column container - and have received all possible variations except the one I want.
Hi There,
Thanks for writing in!
Please select the row where you have all the card element columns.
Then Click on the inner container off.

and give a value that less than 1000px in max width field.
It will keep the cards close to each other and all in a center.
Hope this helps!
One of the hardest things to grasp about X theme is the UI. When I click on the row, I don’t see what you’re showing in the screen shot above.
When I click on the “Employees” row, this is what I see.

When I click on the “Group 1” row, this is what I see.

It’s different than what you are showing.
Update: I figured out how to do it, but only because I recreated the section entirely and applied your advice. Your suggestions were very helpful, however the UI needs some work. As Shakespeare once said, “Brevity is the soul of wit.” =)
Hello @ppe29,
Actually you were using Classic element. In classic element you don’t get the advance option like you get in V2 elements as shown by my colleague @basanta. Though I am glad you figured out.
Thanks.
Ohhhhhhhh. OK that makes perfect sense! Thank you both. You’ve been extremely helpful.
On a side note, I decided not to use the classic cards b/c I noticed that there was a character limit for text on the back side of the card before all kinds of funky things started happening, like the copy would jump outside the parameters of the classic card box, for example.
Is there a fix for that?
Hi,
Yes, classic cards are not meant for long text but there is no limit and it shouldn’t jump outside parameters.
I can see you already have change it. Can you create a test page using classic card so we can check and see the issue firsthand.
I tried on my test page and this is how it looks

Thanks
I erased the one from yesterday. When I tried duplicating the issue, everything is working as you state above. If I see it again in the next few days, I’ll respond back to this thread. Thanks again for assistance.
You are most welcome.
