I would like to have a page that displays posts from a single category with the same look as the blog page. It would also be nice to remove that category from the blog page itself.
I’ve tried the recent posts element but it has a different style and is limited to 4 posts. None of the shortcodes from older forum posts are working.
I’m assuming I might need to create a custom page template which I am willing to do if I can be pointed in the right direction. Thank you!

Please be informed that by default, there is a category archive which would always look like the blog index. Check out the links in the secure notes.
You can change the “Category Archive” title in your category page by going to Posts > Categories. Edit your category and and insert your “Archive Title” in the field provided. If you left it blank, the default “Category Archive” title will be displayed instead.
And if you want to add a menu item that links to the category pages, please go to Appearance > Menus and simply add the categories as you menu items.

That does work, thanks! I originally didn’t choose to do this because of the extra folder in the link (category/) but it does work perfectly and thanks for the menu tip!
