So I’ve added the category “interviews” to my menu tab, but I am getting a notice on the page that says, " nothing to show at this time". I’ve double checked to see of my posts are indeed categorized with the word “interviews”, but still nothing is coming through.
Hello StacieB,
I’ve checked your website and I can see you have “x-child” theme active, could you please revert back the parent theme and re-check this issue? this should narrow this issue down if there was a problem with one of the child theme files.
In case this didn’t help, then please send us your WordPress Dashboard login credentials in a “Secure Note” so we can investigate this issue.
The direct message is not the correct place to add the login information. You need to use a Secure Note. Use that Key button on your first question:
Read more about the Secure Note in the Secure Note section of the article below:
As I do not have access to your website backend I will need you to test the steps below for me:
Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.
OK, I deactivated all the plugins - no change
I have no idea how to access the .htaccess-bak, or whether I am using a CDN. I don’t have access to the FTP files, so I wouldn’t be able to do anything with PHP either…I can see if the client has the FTP log in for his host.
Any help would be appreciated as this is the last item in my task list for them to launch the site.
I have logged in and tested your site. It is not just interviews, all of your category archives does not display any posts at all. May we have permission to deactivate some of the plugins? We would like to do a test for plugin conflict again. We have a hunch that one of your 3rd party plugin is causing this issue.
