Cart Modal number of items in cart

Hi, I am using a modal cart in my header but when items are added to the cart there is no visual display of how many items are in the cart unless the cart icon is clicked. Is there a way to fix this?

As of now the cart model element in Pro Theme won’t display item number in cart icon. I am taking this as a feature request and will add into our internal issue tracker.
