Cart in the Header Empty for Styling

Hi!

I am trying to style the Cart Modal in the Header. I have added a product on the front-end, but when styling the element it is empty, making it difficult to style it. Am I missing something?

EDIT: it does appear sometimes, but I haven’t found a consistent way of getting it in the builder.

Also, when we enable the Text setup for the Toggle, it doesn’t offer a background color for the text. A common design is creating a colored circle around the dynamic number of cart items, slightly overlayed in the cart’s corner. This is not possible without custom CSS as it seems.

Thanks for reaching out.

I can confirm this the empty card when viewing in the admin. I’ll add this to our issue tracker and thanks for reporting

As for the toggle, it’s intentional that way since the toggle is equivalent to button. For now, the solution is custom CSS as you’re implementing. The cart modal text options is just inherited similar to other element’s text options, it may need changes to global text options if that’s the case.
