Cart in navigation menu is lagging

I want to add cart to Navigation bar menu. But when I try to change color, it does not change. And over all it is lagging up there, so I disable it because site is live. Can You please have a look, why it is lagging.
See, that I have set some colors, but it still appears black and white. Even more it should not show empty!

No it definiteally is lagging. Did You try hover colors? And other options like cart contetn.
