Cart count in custom header

Hi there, I know from reading related threads that this is currently not supported in the Pro custom header builder, so I’m looking for a workaround. I tried the method kindly outlined here:

But that didn’t work for me - maybe because I’m also using Essential Grid for my product/shop displays.

I’m not expecting an answer to the orginal problem (although that would be very welcome), but hopefully another support request will highlight the urgent need for this feature in the header builder. My question then is, can I use the standard WooCommerce cart button in the custom header and if so, how would I do this?

Thanks.

Hi @ShaunCoward,

It’s not related to Essential Grid plugin. I’ve tested the code it’s working fine on my end:

Would you mind providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

  • Link login to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks.

Thanks, I’ve done that. I’m working on the Test Header to keep it separate.

Thanks again!

Hello @ShaunCoward,

The given credentials is not working for us.
It seems that the password is incorrect.

Please double check it.

Sorry! Should be right now.

Hello @ShaunCoward,

It wasn’t working because you haven’t added the PHP code and the CSS code.
I went ahead and fixed the issue.

Please check your header now.

I’m all over the place today, I’m sorry. I had added the code but then removed it when I couldn’t get it to work. Should have explained that.

Thanks for your help, looks great!

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.

Sorry! One more thing. It works perfectly on the generic header that I’m using on the whole site - but not the home header on the home page. Any ideas?

Forget it, it’s me being stupid again.

I should probably either go to bed or just start drinking. Ignore me!

No worries.
