Carousel slider with posts

Hey, im trying to achieve a carousel slider that contains recent posts. Would you recommend a certain plugin for this? I have downloaded Slide Anything plugin. I was thinking I could do that and add the shortcode for the category posts to each slide. Is there a better way? Also if this way is the best way what would be the shortcode to use to display certain categories?
