I’ve updated the theme and cornerstone builder to the latest versions and i can’t see or edit the content inside the cornerstone visual builder. All I get are text and image icons with boxes that have diagonal slashes all the way across.

Please kindly go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins and deactivate and delete the Cornerstone plugin.
Then please go to X > Validation and wait for few seconds and then go back to plugins page and make sure that the automatically installed Cornerstone plugin is activated.
Also, make sure that the version of the X theme is 7.2.1, if not please update the theme.
Also please follow the steps below:

Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.

If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
