When I try to upload To wordpress about 3 seconds after I hit the install button my screen turns white, at this point I can’t do anything but back out of the tab.
I’ve tried a number of things and I get the same result everytime.
When I download the theme zip file from my dashboard I choose the file that says (installable wordpress file only)
Do I need to open the zip file and select a certain file?

When you upload the theme in Appearance > Themes > Upload, you should upload the x.zip file. If you have uploaded this and then encounter the blank screen, most probably you have encountered a fatal error due to upload limit settings. You may need to edit your WordPress max upload limit.
