Cant update LayerSlider Addon

Hi - I can’t update LayerSlider.

I see " LayerSlider You have version 7.8.0 installed. Update to 7.9.5" and when I update it won’t work - I get “An error occurred while updating LayerSlider: License registration is required to receive updates. Please read our online documentation to learn more.”

Version 7.8.0 is from August. Plugin installed via Addons.

Thanks for reaching out!

The latest version of our bundled plugin for Layer Slider is 7.8.0. That’s why you are getting that error when you try to update the plugin to the latest version. That being said, I highly suggest that you wait for our updates because our developer will check it first if its compatible with our current version.

Thanks @marc_a - was hoping that would be the response as I uninstalled then installed as per other posts.

I had the link to addons and updates but can’t seem to find it - if you could kindly provide that link, that’d be awesome!

There’s a page where you list all the Addons and what version the Addon is at.

While we’re on this topic I see that Modern Events Calendar is another Addon that needs an update - version is way behind and it’s a security issue.

Hey Claudio,

The extensions’ version is listed in our Version Compatibility Doc here https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility

To install the addon or extesion, click the WP Admin Menu > X or WP Admin Menu > Pro.

For MEC or other extensions in general, extensions will be updated once they pass compatibility with our theme. While that is in process, you need to wait for the update.

Thanks - that’s the link. I’ll bookmark it.

Another issue is Essential Grid - WordPress Essential Grid Plugin <= 3.1.0 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS).

This plugin needs updating ASAP.
