Can't save pages after migrating to GoDaddy Managed Wordpress

Hi,

I’m hoping you can help as GoDaddy has been completely unhelpful after two hours in chat with them. They moved my client’s site to Managed WordPress and ever since then I have been unable to update and save my pages. I am not getting an error at all. When I put in my edits, they don’t show up and the Save stalls out.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this? We have tried all the things: disabling plug-ins, disabling the firewall, reinstalling the Pro and Pro Child themes, etc.

Thanks for any assistance you can give. I’ll put login details in the Secure Note.

Jen

Hello Jen,

Thanks for posting in! I have investigated your issue and I cannot replicate it. I even successfully created a test page for you.

Please see the secure note below.

Best Regards.

Did you go into an existing page and try to change anything and save? Because that is where my problem lies. I can see where you created a page and I was able to edit your page and save. But I can’t edit an existing page and I can’t edit the header (which is where I need to make a change and fix the CSS for the button). Please see the attached screenshot…you can see where I edited the text in the text box but it isn’t updating in the WYSIWIG and the green save bar is right towards the end but never saves.

Will I need to recreate every page and the header? Or am I missing something? I’ve tried this in Safari and in Chrome and I logged in with the tech support credentials I gave you and tried and it still didn’t work.

Thanks!
Jen

Hello Jen,

When editing my created test page, I do not see any errors. So, I edited some of your existing pages and I encounter some errors in the console:

Failed render SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0
    at JSON.parse (<anonymous>)
    at app.6f62d0f.js?time=1649380974:2:476518
    at t.findIndex._type (app.6f62d0f.js?time=1649380974:2:476631)

Can you please re install the Pro theme? You can check out this guide on how you can manually update it.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I have already done a reinstall of the Pro Theme and the Child Theme using the method above and am still encountering the issue.

Should I try deleting the theme and then reinstalling?

I’ve already done most of the things suggested…the problem persists after disabling all the plug-ins, the theme is up to date, as I mentioned above I reinstalled the Pro Theme and the Child Theme.

I just increased the PHP memory limit and the problem is still persisting. I also disabled the CDN.

The only thing I can’t disable is GoDaddy’s Cache. I did flush it but that made no difference either.

Thanks,
Jen

Hello Jen,

I have logged in and edited your About Us page.

I was able to change my changes and view those changes in the live view of the page:

I have left it on the page (but hidden away) so that you can see my changes. You can remove it afterwards.

  • See the secure note.

Thank you.

I can see your change and i can also edit and save on the About Me Page. However, I am still unable to edit and save the Header, which is what needs editing.

I have also tested the other pages. I am unable to edit and save the Home page, Contact, and Benefits. Although I am still having issues with it wanting me to re-login every couple of minutes which may be part of the problem.

Thanks for trying to help. Any other ideas?

Hi Jen,

I have checked and found that your website is asking for login in every few actions. This might be an issue with session, I would suggest you contact the Hosting Service provider on this. Regarding the page saving issue, I would suggest please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access to the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
