Cant get Table of contents to work

Hello Experts!

Am trying to get the Table of contents code to work . As mentioned in http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/table-of-contents/.

Below is the code, i entered inside a post using word press editor. FYI, Not using Cornerstone for these posts.

[toc title=“go Start Series” type=“left”] [toc_item title=“1. Introduction” page=“650”][toc_item title=“2. Want to do something, but don’t know what to do” page=“23”] [toc_item title=“3. Best time” page=“648”] [toc_item title=“4. Work” page=“646”][/toc]

  1. Is the “page” the post number?.
  2. I got the post number by hovering over the post name in all posts. Is this correct?
  3. Does the Title have to match the post name? or having the post number is good enough.

The table does appear in the post, but the links don’t take you to the intended post.

Hi,

  1. No, the page is the page number and should increment by 1 starting with 1

eg.


This is page 1

<!--nextpage-->

This is page 2

<!--nextpage-->

This is page 3

The contents of your pages are all on the same page and are break down to several pages using <!--nextpage-->

  1. Yes that’s the correct way to get post id but you will not need it on this.

  2. The title doesn’t have to match, you can add any title.

Thank you Paul. Thanks for explaining, I got that working.

I have a related query.

Attached is a screenshot.

Can we have the Page numbers and the navigation next/previous arrows, soon after the post. It is currently showing after “Related” list of posts.

The related posts is not coming from X. It looks like it’s from Jetpack. Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
