Can't get Slider Revolution to play background video

I’m trying to setup a slider with a background video but I just can’t get it to play any of the videos I’ve tried.

I uploaded a .ogv video to our server and followed the directions found here - https://www.themepunch.com/faq/static-layer-background-video/ but it doesn’t work. I’ve checked that the video is working from the server just fine.

I’ve tried both a proper cover image as well as a transparent png, which it’s set to now, just FYI.

The test page with the slider embedded is here - http://www.videopartyexpress.com/dev/?page_id=25 and as you can see, nothing happens.

If you could please advise as to what I’m doing wrong, I would appreciate it.

I am currently also have the same issue. I’ve tried self-hosting the video, using a youtube and vimeo videos. Interested to learn some solutions.

Hey,

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Hi There,

You need to add your video as background video not as a layer.

Where you have set transaprent, please select video and add your video URL.

The poster image will be the image used on touch and mobile devices.

I had already tried that. But, I set it back this way. As you can see, now the cover image shows but no video plays. http://www.videopartyexpress.com/dev/test/ I have tried many file types and none are working. The only thing that will play is Youtube video but I can’t use that since it won’t loop. It must be self hosted to work properly. I see that many others are having this same issue. Please advise with a fix. Thank you.

Hi There,

You had a .mpeg format which is not a web supported format.

I replaced with your video : http://www.videopartyexpress.com/dev/wp-content/videos/videoloop.ogv

And it works now.
